Ljubljana is a mid-sized city located in Slovenia. It has about 280 000 inhabitants and cover an area of 270 square kilometers. It a capital city of Republic of Slovenia and also a political, economical, educational and cultural center.
Around the city you can find many fast growing towns which are actually used mostly for sleeping, people form this town mostly drive to work in Ljubljana everyday. There is not a lot of problems with traffic because Slovenia has well developed highway and railway systems.

Bled is a small town, located approximately 50 kilometres from Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia. It is true, that the whole Slovenia has only one island, but the Bled island is one of the most known islands around.
Bled is a picturesque little town in an even more picturesque surroundings. The lake that was formed trapped between high mountains, is visited by tourist throughout the year. You can cool of in the lake in the summer and in the winter, the town Bled and the Bled lake turn into a ice skating heaven.

UNESCO Heritage
Skocjan caves (Škocjanske jame) are protected by UNESCO since 1986. The Skocjan caves are one of the best and most beautiful natural architectural achievements and the best Karst phenomenon in the world. Slovenia is full of Karst phenomenons, because the Karst covers around two thirds of the country. Skocjan caves are a achievement of the Mother nature that every nation would be proud of, but they are in the shadow of the world known Postojnska cave. They are not as famous, but they are on the UNESCO World heritage list since 1986.

Portorož is the name for elite coastal tourism. The word about how great it is started spreading already in the 13th century, when it started to develop as a SPA tourist destination, it became more elite-centered after 1960, when all the renovations began and all the tourist infrastructure was build.
Elite Coastal Tourism
Portorož is a great coastal destination on the Slovenian coast. It is a part of the Piran municipality and it's roots started in the roman times. Today you can see a salt warehouse and the Maritime High school, but underneath it were found remains of a small port and a fish farm.

Slovenia is a young European country in Central Europe. It is a member of the European Union since 1st of May 2004. First settlements were found dating in 6th century and the country got independent after a turbulent history.
The country developed fast through the history and kept pace with the most developed western European countries. It is one of the 30 most developed countries in the world, judging by the Gross domestic product per capita.

Ten thousands of footsteps can be found in Lipica, but this is a place, that is known by horse hoofs.
Lipica is a small place, just outside the town Sežana in the Slovenian littoral. It is a small village with less then 100 inhabitants, but the mare farm is known around the world. Most people see it as a small village lost in the middle of nowhere, but Lipica hosted a number of world known guests, also the British queen Elizabeth II in year 2008.

Ancient town Emona
The ancient town Emona was build where today's Ljubljana lays by the Roman in 14 AD. It was build on the plain, so called the doors of Ljubljana. They used the natural passageway between the Castle hill and the Šiška hill. This passageway is a part of an important trade route, connecting the North Europe with the Mediterranean sea.
